Christmas Traditions: Pecan Tassies Recipe
Pastry:
¼ pound butter (softened)
1 – 3 oz. cream cheese (softened)
1 Cup flour
Mix butter and cream cheese. Add flour and mix as for pie crust.
Filling:
Mix 2 eggs with fork. Do not beat. Add 1 ½ Cups brown sugar, 2 Tablespoons melted butter, pinch of salt and a little vanilla. Mix well.
Divide dough into 24 small balls. Shape into tassie tins. Add a little chopped nuts in bottom. Fill with filling; add more nuts on top. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes.
